Port of South Louisiana Headquarters
Reserve, Louisiana
Located along the Mississippi River in Reserve, Louisiana, the Port of South Louisiana’s new three-story headquarters consists of a covered parking lot, administrative and support spaces, conference rooms, collaborative break out spaces, and various state-of-the-art employee offices with uninterrupted views of the river.
NANO was hired by Meyer Engineers to oversee all interior design and FF&E selection, in addition to designing a highly-unique and custom wall feature for the 2,100 SF boardroom.
The furniture layout and selection vary across each of the four distinct private office types and are reflective of the department's function and needs. Bold and distinguished pieces were chosen for the public lobby, conference, and board room areas including lounge pieces with COM fabric

When designing the 8’x24’ wall feature, our goal was to combine functionality, material durability, and most importantly, an accurate representation of the Port’s districts and impact within the industrial trade region. The piece displays 54 miles of the Mississippi River through the Port’s three parish districts (St. Charles, St. John the Baptist, and St. James Parish), representing the thriving industrial trade region that feeds off it. Materials consist of laser cut wood and veneer representing the topography of the land as well as the Port's industrial sites along the river. Acoustic panels, a low maintenance biophilic wall, and an acrylic blue Mississippi River complete the unique design.
