Greater New Orleans, Inc. is a regional non-profit economic development alliance that serves as the catalyst for wealth creation in the 10-parish region of Southeast Louisiana. After moving their offices to the 34th floor of the Energy Centre, GNO, Inc. hired NANO to transform their new corporate home into a space that aligned with their mission and emphasized their role as the conduit for incoming businesses into Southeast Louisiana.

NANO designed a flexible, adaptive corporate space that could support a variety of functions: large board meetings, business development and networking events, intimate training sessions, and brainstorming gatherings.

The office includes an 80-person boardroom outfitted with movable tables and chairs to allow for flexible uses. The “brainstorming” conference room consists of vibrant, bright, and local materials and furnishings to encourage “out-of-the-box” thinking to emulate the non-profit’s innovative character.

To provide a more formal environment, the “prospect” conference room consists of a more neutral color scheme, white boards, and a view of the Caesar’s Superdome. Ten private executive offices line the outer perimeter of the space with floor-to-ceiling glazing, allowing natural light to filter through the 34th floor and enhance the occupant’s corporate experience.
In order to further emphasize GNO, Inc.’s economic impact throughout Southeast Louisiana, NANO designed and built a custom wall feature – made of 3form Chroma and cypress plywood – that represents the ten parishes that the non-profit serves. Installed strategically at the entrance, the wall feature’s geometric design details are repeated onto the custom-designed reception desk, creating an organic entry sequence that sparks the visual interest of incoming clients and stakeholders.
