The Duplass Law Office Tenant Fit-Out project, soon to be completed in the end of January 2023, has been featured in the Renovation Report section of New Orleans CityBusiness!
In May of 2022, NANO was hired to design an efficient and modern space to enhance Duplass APLC’s culture and sense of community within the 13,400-square-foot space.
Our priorities for this interior renovation project focused primarily on the wellbeing, corporate experience, and productivity of the employees at Duplass APLC. We ensured that the office space met those design directives, while still providing the necessary balance between privacy and communication. The layout and design intend to improve and modernize the way the firm works, communicates and presents itself to the public.

Private attorney offices surround the entire perimeter of the space with supporting administrative staff and collaborative spaces making up the core of the building. This layout yields the most functionality within the space, keeping required adjacencies between employee teams and providing a central plaza for employees and clients alike.
The reception area, large conference room and library make up the central plaza and incorporate a high level of design to help enrich the client/visitor experience. These spaces include bold, modern finishes, upgraded lighting design, custom millwork and ceiling system, a large central breakroom, and an expansive conference room jewel box of butt-jointed glass.
Kelsey Chappuis, project designer at NANO, said the highlight of the project was seeing the design come to life and watching their renderings become reality. She pointed out the custom woodwork in the reception and library, including a 12-foot slat wall made entirely of ash that incorporates signage and shelving. She likes the ceiling baffle design in the reception, conference and library.

“At the new office the space is efficient, and people are less spread out leading to more social interaction which makes for happier employees. Our employees love the ‘new’ and the ‘wow factor’ of the new office. We have a new energy or buzz in the office you can feel when you walk in the door.” – Michael Pfister, Shareholder at Duplass
